2018 Swimming Carnival 06

2018 Swimming Carnival 04

On Wednesday, 6th December, we held our annual Swimming Carnival at Blacktown Aquatic Centre.

Stages 2 & 3 started the morning with a visit from Surf Life Saving Australia and Royal Life Saving Australia and discovered how to keep safe around beaches and inland waterways.

Congratulations to every student who participated in the races and cheering for their fellow students! The display of teamwork, sportsmanship and respect amongst all the students was fantastic to see and all should be proud of their effort.

House Captains led the teams well with cheers and team spirit being showing through in the enthusiastic cheers.

Thanks must go to the band of ready Parent Helpers who took on the roles of Time Keepers.

Thank you to the staff of OLOL for their dedication and involvement as House Patrons, Recorders and Officials.

Our students took part in meaningful Holy Week reflections, journeying through key events including Jesus washing the disciples’ feet, the Last Supper, the Garden of Gethsemane and the Stations of the Cross. Through prayer, Scripture and symbolic actions, the children deepened their understanding of Jesus’ love and sacrifice. It was a reverent and powerful experience for all and we are so proud of how our students embraced this special time.

Our Kindergarten and Year 1 students led our school community in a beautiful Palm Sunday Reflection. 🌿 With gentle voices, thoughtful prayers and joyful hearts, they reminded us of the true meaning of this special time in our faith. We are so proud of the reverence, confidence and spirit they showed as they guided us in reflection. A wonderful moment of faith, learning, and community.
