Dance students impressed the crowd with a range of dazzling performances
Hundreds of students from 35 primary and secondary Catholic schools from across the Diocese showcased their creative talents in a series of music, dance and strings performances throughout June, culminating in the ‘Best Of’ performance on 23 June.
The showcase events demonstrated the high calibre of choral, music and dance work from Catholic schools, under the Parramatta Diocese’s creative and performing arts initiative, CAPTIVATE.
The program provides learning and performance experiences for students, as well as builds expertise and a sense of community across the system.
CAPTIVATE is very popular with five new schools joining the program since last year.

Zing Interschool Challenge 2026 WOW what a fantastic night. Lots of great dancing and fun. Everyone was well prepared and looked the part. Well Done to those who won ribbons and the whole group for winning the Hip Hop routine. You should all be very proud of yourselves. Thank You to all our wonderful Teachers who gave up their time for lunchtime practices, attending on the night and winning the teachers dance. Go the OLOL Beliebers. Also to all the parents transporting your children and getting involved in the fun on the night. ππΆππΊ #zing

Yesterday, our Year 2 students led a beautiful class liturgy, connecting deeply with their current learning cycle and exploring what it means to love our neighbours through kindness, compassion, and service. Thank you to the many family members who joined us. It was a special opportunity to come together in prayer, reflection, and community. We are so proud of our Year 2 students for the thoughtful way they shared their learning and faith with us all.

π Vinnies Encounter Day π Today, some of our FIAT students attended the Vinnies Encounter Day at St John Paul II College, Nirimba. Through sessions on the Vinnies Winter Appeal and Catholic Social Teaching, students explored how they can live out their faith through service, compassion and social justice.
