May 15 has been designated by the United Nations as International Family Day. Bishop Vincent has declared this day (or another day suitable to the local context) as a day of awareness and fundraising for CatholicCare, the organisation in our diocese which offers many services in support of families.
Each school has been asked to engage in prayer and hold a fundraiser connected with International Family Day with the proceeds going to CatholicCare. At OLOL we decided to hold a Liturgy on Monday May 14 at 8.40 am in the school hall. We also held a ‘Family Day Mufti Day’ on Friday May 18. On this day the children were asked to dress up as a member of their family and donate a gold coin towards the event.
Thank you to everyone who supported Bishop Vincent’s International Family Day fundraiser. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to showcase a family member and we were able to raise $416.50. A wonderful effort from everyone.

CSPD students recognised in Refugee Week Creative Competition
Over 125 students from 10 Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) schools have been recognised for their empathy and powerful storytelling as part of the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) Australia Refugee Week Creative Competition.

Zing Interschool Challenge 2026 WOW what a fantastic night. Lots of great dancing and fun. Everyone was well prepared and looked the part. Well Done to those who won ribbons and the whole group for winning the Hip Hop routine. You should all be very proud of yourselves. π Vinnies Encounter Day π Today, some of our FIAT students attended the Vinnies Encounter Day at St John Paul II College, Nirimba. Through sessions on the Vinnies Winter Appeal and Catholic Social Teaching, students explored how they can live out their faith through service, compassion and social justice. Thank you to Vinnies for providing this meaningful opportunity to inspire our students to make a difference in our community. π
