May 15 has been designated by the United Nations as International Family Day. Bishop Vincent has declared this day (or another day suitable to the local context) as a day of awareness and fundraising for CatholicCare, the organisation in our diocese which offers many services in support of families.
Each school has been asked to engage in prayer and hold a fundraiser connected with International Family Day with the proceeds going to CatholicCare. At OLOL we decided to hold a Liturgy on Monday May 14 at 8.40 am in the school hall. We also held a ‘Family Day Mufti Day’ on Friday May 18. On this day the children were asked to dress up as a member of their family and donate a gold coin towards the event.
Thank you to everyone who supported Bishop Vincent’s International Family Day fundraiser. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to showcase a family member and we were able to raise $416.50. A wonderful effort from everyone.

2025 Netball Gala Day. We took 7 teams to the Netball Gala day on Wednesday the 15th October: Snr Boys, Jnr Boys, 12 Yr Girls, two 11 Yr Girls, 10 Yr Girls and 9 Yr Girls. Well done to all teams for their great sportsmanship and lots of great netball played throughout the day. Thank you for the parents who gave their time to transport students or being Team Manager for the day, your help is much appreciated. 😀

Nagle College Launches New STEM Scholarship for Future Innovators
Nagle College Blacktown has announced the launch of the “Christine Howe STEM Academic Scholarship”, a new opportunity designed to support and inspire young women passionate about STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Mackillop Athletics Championships A huge congratulations to Benjamin who represented at the MacKillop Athletics Championships at Homebush on Wednesday. Ben achieved an outstanding result, breaking two MacKillop track records! 🏅 100m: 1st place – 12.43 seconds 🏅 200m: 1st place – 25.75 seconds An extra highlight is that the previous 200m record Ben has now broken belonged to Toluta’u Koula, the current fullback for the Manly Sea Eagles, making Ben’s achievement even more remarkable! What an incredible accomplishment! Well done Ben!
