May 15 has been designated by the United Nations as International Family Day. Bishop Vincent has declared this day (or another day suitable to the local context) as a day of awareness and fundraising for CatholicCare, the organisation in our diocese which offers many services in support of families.
Each school has been asked to engage in prayer and hold a fundraiser connected with International Family Day with the proceeds going to CatholicCare. At OLOL we decided to hold a Liturgy on Monday May 14 at 8.40 am in the school hall. We also held a ‘Family Day Mufti Day’ on Friday May 18. On this day the children were asked to dress up as a member of their family and donate a gold coin towards the event.
Thank you to everyone who supported Bishop Vincent’s International Family Day fundraiser. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to showcase a family member and we were able to raise $416.50. A wonderful effort from everyone.

2025 School Cross Country We had a fantastic time at our School Cross Country Carnival held On Friday the 4th of April. It was wonderful to see so many students showing determination, resilience, and great sportsmanship as they ran their races and cheered on their peers. All students should be very proud of their efforts. A very special thank you to both the student helpers from Nagle college as well as the parents who volunteered their time to help on the day. Congratulations to the green colour house for achieving the most points on the day. We would like to also congratulate the students who have qualified to compete at the Diocesan cross country carnival next term. We wish all the students who are competing the best of luck!
