2021 Athletics Carnival

On Monday the 7th of June we had our annual School Athletics Carnival at CV Kelly Park in Girraween. All of the children from Kindergarten to Year 6 had a fantastic day competing in running races, field events and other fun activities during the Tabloid. Thank you to all of the parents who came to support the children and cheer them on throughout the day. A special mention to all of the parent volunteers who assisted on the day as timekeepers, starters and age managers. Without the parent volunteers we would not be able to run the day as successfully as we did. All age Championship trophies, sportsmanship awards and ribbons will be awarded to students within the next few weeks. Stay Tuned!

2021 Cross Country

On Friday the 26th of March, we held our annual cross country carnival at OLOL. A big Congratulations to every student who participated in the cross country event.There was a fantastic display of team spirit, sportsmanship and determination amongst all the students throughout the day. All students should be very proud of their efforts. A very special thank you to both the student helpers from Nagle college as well as the parents who volunteered their time to help on the day. Without your support and assistance we would not have been able to run such a successful carnival for the students. We would like to also congratulate the students who have qualified to compete at the Diocesan cross country carnival next term. We wish all the students who are competing the best of luck. 2020 Primary Swimming Carnival

Congratulations to the winner of 2020 Swimming Carnival - Red! Congratulations to 2020 Swimming Champions Junior Girl - Jacqueline Yates, Junior Boy - Javier Bouserhal, Senior Girl - Ziva Suryathyo Senior Boy - Cameron Fahey Extra congratulations to both Ziva and Cameron for breaking many of our OLOL school records. Ziva Suryathyo - 100 m Girls Freestyle, 11 Year Girls 50 m Freestyle, 11 Years Girls 50 m Backstroke, 11 Years Girls 50 m Butterfly Cameron Fahey - 100 m Boys Freestyle, 11 Years Boys 50 m Freestyle, 11 Year 50 m Boys Breaststroke, 11 Years Boys 50 m Backstroke. It was a great day!

2020 Play On Sports Day

On Tuesday 8th of September the students at OLOL enjoyed a Play On Sports day. The students took part in 8 activities: Archery, Jenga, Catch the ball in the cup, Balance on the dome, Push someone in a wheelbarrow, High jump,Throw a ball from a net and Tug a war on balance dome. There was a lot of fantastic equipment and the people who ran the activities were very friendly and helpful. The students enjoyed winning prizes, having fun and working together. Thank you to the people who ran the Play On Sports program and to Mrs Bawden and Ms Critchlow for organising the day. We certainly had perfect weather and we all had a wonderful day.

Primary sports stars shine on their awards night!

2019 ES1 S1 Healthy Eating Party

On the last Thursday of Term 3 Mrs Brogden and the Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 teachers helped prepare a healthy food party for the students. As part of their health lessons, students are learning how to make healthy food choices. There were many delicious fruits, vegetables and grains at the party. We were blessed with beautiful weather and all of the children from Kindergarten to Year 6 had a fantastic day competing in running races, field events and other fun activities during the Tabloid. A special mention to all of the parent volunteers who assisted on the day as timekeepers, ribbon writers and starters. Without the parent volunteers we would not be able to run the day as successfully as we did. Congratulations to the winning house, Green and to all of our Age Champions and Sportsmanship award winners.

2019 Stage 3 Boys Soccer Gala Day

On Wednesday the 3rd of July, 3 teams competed in the Parramatta Diocese Stage 3 Boys Soccer Gala Day at Jamison Park, Penrith. Mrs. Brogden and Mrs. Willemse thoroughly enjoyed the day and the students displayed outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork and behaviour. Thank you to Mr. Pollard for helping coach the 2nd team. Congratulations boys on a great day!

2019 Dance Fever Interschool Challenge

Throughout Term Two the students at OLOL have enjoyed participating in the program Dance Fever. Students from Kindergarten to Year Two learnt a number of short dances which they proudly displayed to their parents and friends at their school concert today. On Wednesday 26th June 2019 approximately 90 students from Year Three to Year Six represented Our Lady of Lourdes at the Dance Fever Interschool Competition at Homebush. They performed the formal dances of the FoxTrot and Cha Cha and then participated in the whole school showdance competition where they performed against a number of other schools. All students represented our school with pride and won a number of individual ribbons as well as the Year ThreeTrophy and the Overall School Dance Trophy. 2019 Stage 3 Girls Soccer Gala Day

It was a very windy Wednesday at Jamison Park, Penrith in Week 5 of Term 2 when the Year 5 & 6 Soccer teams represented OLOL with outstanding teamwork, fair play and laughs. The girls improved their football skills throughout the day with both teams gaining wins and draws. After a true team effort the following girls scored goals throughout the day: Amelia, Jessie, Jaylene, Nikita, Erika and Ruby. Those who played in the goalkeeper position are also to be commended with Mary-Rose, Aarushi and Alexandra working hard to keep the ball from making its mark! Congratulations to both teams for their amazing positive attitude and fun! Thank you to the parents who helped transport other students and assisted on the day.
